I’ve often wondered what lyrics or poems originally mean to the author. That’s why there are so many different songs in the world that mean different things for different people. What I have noticed is that most songs in a certain genre all talk about the same thing. Country music for example; I’ve heard a joke about country songs. It goes “what do you get when you play a country song backwards?” The answer is your dog, your job, your wife. I think that the song that has the most meaning to me… well, there really isn’t one. I’ve had a pretty good life. I started listening to music only 4 years ago! Before that all I did was hang out with my friends. The lyrics of music though may have pretty much no meaning at all in some cases. Some techno music has some repetitive words. They don’t even mean anything. Another example is the new alternative rock crap, or whatever it is called. Songs on stations like X96. I hate X96. All they sing about is retarded things like clubs in my opinion.
