This past week we were working on reading an autobiography by some lady and it talks about her life in Iran personally after reading this book I though it was very interesting to read but at times it got really boring but I was able to turn them all in but one of them I also think that some of the things that they did to the people that were arrested but I also thing that no one should have to were the veil if they didn’t want to but if I was the president of Iran I would change most of the laws they have their because some of the laws aren’t necessary. From some of the videos we watched I think that since they make all females were the veil. So I think that they should make all the men were some thing to because I don’t think it’s very fare for the woman to have to were some thing that they really don’t want to wear so I only think it’s fare for the men to were some thing to.

“Persepolis”
Persepolis was a good book because it tells what is happening in others countries like Iran or Middle East to be exactly. In those countries the woman don’t have a lot of privileges. I don’t know exactly why but 10 years ago they wore the veil if the woman didn’t wear it the police bust them. Right now the woman wear the veil half way than before, they are getting more and more freedom every day cause they raise their voice and ask for their rights.
When I was reading this book tons of thoughts went thru my mind cause people were killed and I though about America this is a free country how nice is that I think everyone wishes a country like America. People in those countries with problems like that are trying to get away and getting a better life in countries like America.
Persepolis

Some of the things I like about the graphic novel are, first, how realistic that the book is. I liked how she was able to experience being poor after living a rich life and being able to know why some people are poor while others are rich or just normal because it gives her the second opinion from the point of a poor person. Above all I liked how I was able to relate to her while I read because of the experiences she has had and the thoughts she has led me to think of new goals that I would like to accomplish based off of the thing that happened to her after the experiences. I was able to relate when she got herself into a position where she was only able to rely on one person and was really close to that person.

Some of the things I didn’t like are how she editorates some of the things that happened to her or people she knew. I didn’t like how she focused on some of the tortures that people who were in prison had to go through, although that is what they wnet through a lot of the time. Some things that the human kind does to eachother isn’t something that a lot of people like to focus on.

What I think that purpose of Persepolis is to show what it is like in countries that you are or might be at war with. I think that it is also to show what the effects of war are on families that are richer than the normal because it is those families that have to fund the wars that go on during their rich stage. We get to see what it is to go from being rich in a country that is at war to a country that isn’t at war, still being rich, to being in a country that isn’t at war but being poor instead of rich. I think that seeing the effects of that transformation is what we are supposed to get out of the book.

Today I'm going to w4ite on my experience here at Summit High. Upon arrival I had a lot of doubts about this school. It's closed campus, has a small choice of classes, immature and rude students, and an unreasonable short lunch. But, as the months slowly rolled by, I learned a lot more than I ever could have immagined. The teachers and staff are exceptionally pationt and helpful. I have high respect for all of them. But, the one I hold the most respec for is Doug. He has one of the purest hearts I have ever seen. He cares for each and every student he works with. I fortunately got to study here on his last year before retirement. Even though things didn't work out, and our relationship fell to unfixable peices, I learned much more about myself and life from being with Sarah, than I ever could have by myself. I'm very thankful for all the help and support from Doug, Jared, and all the teachers I've had. Even though most of the classes are easy, it still takes some commitment and desire to have good grades. So even though I miss my old highschool, I have no shame in saying I'm a Summit High Graduate.

THE BOOK “PERSEPOLIS”

I think that I have read better comic books (graphic novels) than that but I don’t know. What I liked about the book was the sense of humor in the book and how much info she gives in the book, but I didn’t like the fact that I was not able to get into the graphic novel like I can usually get into another book so I was constantly bored with it. I think that the meaning and purpose of the graphic novel was to tell us how hard life was in Iran. Would I recommend this book to a friend? Probably but I don’t know if I would recommend this book to anyone I kind of didn’t like it. I predicted that her parents would die in the end of the book and that Marjane is going to be alone, but I was way off, but I’ll leave the end of the book for you to find out yourself.

People

People are flawed in many ways. It is those ways that a lot of religions try to help us focus on more, and it is also these things that would help us a lot it we focused on. One thing is that we are in the moment more than we realize.

Many people are so in the moment that they don’t realize the horrors that are going on around them. They don’t realize that there are others. We know that there are poor people and rich people, but they don’t acknowledge them, they don’t even notice them. They go on living and their life is the group range that they are in which is based off of their age and their money. That is what divides all people including and especially Americans and others into social classes and castes of which people venomously reject and say that they don’t live them.

Persepolis

Honestly, this book was kind of disturbing to me at first. The first half was hard for me to read because I wouldn’t be able to survive with a government so controlling over everyone’s life. And I think she acts really foolishly after she leaves her parents for Europe. It’s like she was confused about herself and didn’t know what she wanted. And she creates a lot of drama for herself and for a long while doesn’t do anything about it. But it was an interesting book, and kept me reading on out of curiosity. I’m not sure about why she wrote this, but I think she wanted to show that even through the toughest challenges, we can still come out on top and succeed. She wants to teach and show us the challenges and hardships of her and her family’s life. So hopefully everyone that has read her autobiography has learned something new about life.
